In such societies social groups are organized on the basis of caste and creed. Irrespective of pure economic basis caste plays a crucial role in their organization. Sometimes even in educational institutions these factors play a considerable role which in the western societies one can not find. Even in police establishment any one can find CHAUKAS based on caste or creed line in such developing societies . Sometimes Military organizations are based on those lines as we can see MAHAR REGIMENT or RAJPUT REGIMENT as such in those societies.

When different social, ethnic, religious and racial groups in a society live in a relatively hostile interaction, there exists poly-communalism in such societies . As against the developed societies where we can see numerous interest groups working independently, in a poly-communal society such interest groups are generally community based. Caste,creed and religion play a considerable role in the formation of interest groups as such in such societies .

Ethnicity plays a crucial role in formation of social organizations /Institutions in such societies. My ancestors are from Maharastra so my social groups should be different to people coming from that of Punjab . Such feelings arises in their minds when they are organizing on the basis of their ethnicities. In tribal societies ethnicities play a sizable role in such formations . Urao tribe’s social groups generally differ from that of Santhal tribe’s . Numerous examples one can find where ethnicities play a considerable role as such.

Religion is the basis of formation of such social groups in different developing societies. Different social orders play in such societies different roles-sometimes good and sometimes bad . Even political parties are, sometimes, organized on the basis of religion in such societies what to talk of other social and cultural organizations.

Racial feeling is rare in India as we have seen a few years back in South Africa . However, there exists some feeling of Aryans and Dravidian in some corners of our society . Social mobility has tried to narrow down such feelings . But feelings of Black & White have engulfed some parts of America . Such bad feelings must be avoided to get rid of poly-communalism .

Thus, poly-communalism plays a crucial role in organizing people on social lines especially in a developing societies. What is important is that we must tried live with such phenomenon in developing societies . To avoid it we must learn to live amicably ……etc.
